Cookie Policy
This notice supplements the Privacy Policy and describes cookies, localStorage and similar technologies used by RepairOS. The list reflects the technologies actually active as of the update date.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small strings stored by the browser and returned to the website. LocalStorage stores information in the browser without automatically sending it with every request. Both may be necessary for operation or, where present, used for analytics or marketing.
2. Technologies actually used
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| repairos_locale | RepairOS · first party | Remembers the selected language and keeps URLs consistent. | 12 months | Necessary technical/preference |
| sb-…-auth-token | Self-hosted authentication · first party | Maintains the secure session and refreshes authentication for the restricted area. The value may be split across multiple cookies. | Session or technical authentication lifetime | Strictly necessary |
| repairos_cookie_consent_v2 | RepairOS · localStorage | Stores acknowledgement and any preferences for optional technologies. | Up to 6 months | Necessary to document the choice |
| repairos_locale | RepairOS · localStorage | Synchronises the language in the client interface. | Until cleared in the browser | Functional preference |
| repairos_mobile_activity | RepairOS · localStorage, authenticated web app only | Stores recent mobile activity on the device for easier access. | Until cleared in the browser | User-requested functionality |
| repairos_admin_registrations_seen_at | RepairOS · first party, super-admin only | Remembers when new-registration notifications were viewed. | Technical feature lifetime | Strictly necessary |
Authentication cookie names and durations may vary according to the session and security safeguards. They do not contain the password in plain text.
3. External services and third-party cookies
When users open Stripe Checkout they are transferred to Stripe pages, which may use technical and anti-fraud cookies under its own notice. Maps load resources from OpenStreetMap/CARTO and fonts from Google Fonts; these requests disclose at least the IP address and technical data, but RepairOS does not use those services for profiling.
As of the update date, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel and other advertising/profiling cookies are not active on repairos.it. If introduced, they will remain blocked until consent and this table will be updated before activation.
4. Legal basis
Strictly necessary technologies do not require consent under Section 122 of the Italian Privacy Code because they are essential to provide the requested service, maintain security, authenticate the user or remember a choice. Any non-exempt analytics and marketing technologies will require prior, freely given, specific and withdrawable consent.
5. Banner and preference management
Because no analytics or advertising trackers are currently activated, the panel informs users about necessary technologies. Preferences can be reopened at any time through “Manage cookies”. If optional categories are introduced, they will be disabled by default and reject and accept choices will be presented with equal prominence.
6. Browser controls
Cookies and local data can be deleted through browser settings. Removing authentication cookies signs the account out, and blocking all cookies may prevent access to the platform.
